Ringing in the new era
Ringing in the new era: "EL PASO - Down by three, 74 seconds left, 80 yards to go, Andrew Walter at the helm. No problem for Arizona State.
Only this time, as the scenario played out against Purdue in Friday's Vitalis Sun Bowl, the No. 21 Sun Devils were without Walter. Still no problem.
Sophomore Sam Keller, in his first start, was as efficient, if not as spectacular, as the injured Walter in a four-play, 31-second drive that gave ASU a 27-23 win. The first sellout (51,288) in the Sun Bowl's 71-year history witnessed ASU's first postseason victory since beating Iowa 17-7 here in 1997, breaking a three-game postseason losing streak."
