Hopi Visit: Napolitano hears good news about tribe's schools

Independent - December 18, 2004: Hopi Visit: Napolitano hears good news about tribe's schools: "The biggest news heard at Thursday's visit by Ariz. Gov. Janet Napolitano was that all six BIA-funded schools on the Hopi Reservation have passed their annual yearly progress requirement. What is so outstanding in the announcement by Tribal Chairman Wayne Taylor Jr. is that of the 184 BIA-funded schools in the United States, only 40 or so met the AYP requirement of the No Child Left Behind Act."
