Bloody 7 hours put strain on detectives
Bloody 7 hours put strain on detectives: "Five slayings and one almost fatal shooting discovered across the city during a nearly seven-hour stretch early Monday have stretched thin the Phoenix homicide squad.
The slayings were varied, and the victims included three young Hispanic men shot execution-style, a man found in a gutter and another who was stabbed to death at a party.
In another incident, a man was shot and critically wounded by a resident when he tried to crawl through the doggie door of a home.
'Our team of 24 investigators is exhausted,' said Cmdr. Kim Humphrey, a spokesman for Phoenix police.
'We're calling in as many individuals as we can to help out.'"
