H.R. 310, the Janet Jackson Boobie Prevention Act of 2005, passed the House. Hayworth cosponsored. All members of AZ delegation voted Yea except Grijalva, who voted Nay.
The bill raises the penalties for obscenity, indecency and profanity on broadcast television. Somehow, I think the Super Bowl still has enough money to cover the spread.
More interesting is S. 5, which passed the Senate and is now up for consideration in the House. The Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 was cosponsored in the Senate by McCain. Here is one blogger's breakdown of the proposed law and its outcome. It may inadvertently hurt Big Business, which would be amusing come campaign coffer time 2006.
