Armor Holdings Contract in Florida is a Whitewash

E.J. Montini with the Arizona Republic makes a strong argument here for a lack of determination on the part of the military leadership. What I can't understand is why the national media hasn't noticed it yet. Sure, the Pentagon is in talks with Armor Holdings in Florida to increase production of Armored Humvee's, but the real problem is all the trucks in Iraq with no protection. The Armor Holdings story is a whitewash and the media is buying into it. ArmorWorks of Tempe makes the kits for adding armor to vehicles in the field and they are only running at 50% capacity. That is the real story and to add insult the Pentagon has yet to contact them to enlarge or extend a 30 million dollar contract that they expect to complete early next year.
